Simplicity for the win.

When I was looking for ways to manage my time better, I got really tired of all the productivity-speak and efficiency jargon. I didn’t love or resonate with the constant push to hack every minute or the way it made me feel, like I had to be in constant motion, always optimizing. And, it wasn’t feeling very aligned with the reality of being a mum.

All I wanted was some good, honest advice to get clear on the best ways to build a sustainable, balanced life and work (I was working for myself) without confusion, intensity, or burnout. I craved something that allowed me to expand, to get spacious in myself – not just toggle between the practical, the reflective, and the physical. I wanted something that embraced all of it.

Because I love time management and strategy (weird, right? But helpful for you!). But I didn’t want to structure my days the way I was being shown by everyone I came across.

I didn’t want to push myself into a million different time-blocks or force routines that didn’t feel good. I wanted focus but without the pressure to be doing all the things all the time. I wanted clarity without feeling like I was stuck on some endless hamster wheel of productivity. But I also didn’t know where to start or what would actually make a difference.

I wanted a non-robotic time strategist, a non-efficiency-obsessed planner, and a method that still made room for a healthy mind, body, and soul.

I couldn’t find them.

So, I trawled through courses, programs, articles, workshops, guides, templates, and so on, enduring the jargon and the fizz...

Don’t get me wrong, there are brilliant people out there doing brilliant things in time management and strategy. I just wanted something…

A little less...productivity-y…

A little less…rigid.

I wanted a system that offered practical tools but still allowed for realness, flexibility, and joy. A system that let me enjoy the parts of my life that weren’t all about efficiency but also included the reality of my life - the mayhem of kids, the push and pull of work, plus wanting to fit in other aspects of my life that are important to me - creativity, health and wellness, personal practices, friends! Family! Me time!.

And you know what I came to realise? That I had been doing this for myself the whole time - I’d been looking elsewhere thinking that others had the answers, that others ideas worked better for me when in reality, in my work in project/event management and complex policy and programs plus being a mum, I realised that I was creating my own time management rhythms and flow which were working way better than someone else’s imported hack.

And so, I wrote it down and created my own clarity and rhythm framework for myself. And it works.

What it means for you is, I did the time, so you don’t have to.

And here it is: Non-robotic (although don’t get me wrong, we use robots cause that’s very helpful - I just mean the approach is flexible and realistic and HUMAN), non-productivity-y time management and strategy with a dose of colour, joy, and breathing room.

Because, yes, time management can be fun! (Really, it can – challenging, sure, but there’s room for fun too.)

Enjoy.

And keep laughing.
